BALANGA CITY, Bataan -The endorsement of Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) of the Mount Samat Tourism Enterprise Zone Authority as the second flagship tourism enterprise in Luzon and subsequent approval of its integrated master plan is a monumental component of creating a world-class memorial shrine of valor for the Filipino-American soldiers who fought and defended the sacred ground of Bataan during the 2nd World War.
Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia said the Mount Samat Integrated Master Plan would cuddle the national eco-tourism development scheme prepared by Berkman, a well-known international consultancy firm, like the fast emerging investment hub in Central Luzon, Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB), which offers substantial benefits and incentives to local and foreign investors in a business –friendly community.
A number of sons and daughters of Bataan veterans who are now successful entrepreneurs in the United States and other countries are opting to invest in the tourism industry to instill the lasting memory and sacrifices of their ancestors in the peninsula.
